Joran van der Sloot Exclusive: Stephany Flores Crime Scene Pictures
NEW YORK (CBS) Crime scene photos obtained by 48 Hours | Mystery and published exclusively by Crimesider show the crime scene in the Lima, Peru hotel room where Stephany Flores was murdered.

The crime photos shows the 21-year-old's body lying on the floor next to the bed with her arms extended and legs against the wall.
Police say Joran van der Sloot confessed to killing Flores in the hotel room after the two met playing poker at a casino.
Video from hotel security cameras shows Flores and van der Sloot entering his room together at 5 a.m. Sunday and then shows van der Sloot leaving alone four hours later with his bags. Police say van der Sloot also left the hotel briefly at 8:10 a.m. and returned with two cups of coffee and bread purchased across the street at a supermarket. Coffee cups are visible in some of the crime scene photos.
Flores' murder occurred on May 30, exactly five years after American teenager Natalee Holloway disappeared in Aruba. Van der Sloot has long been considered the prime suspect in Holloway's disappearance by authorities on the Dutch Caribbean island.

De moeder van Joran spreekt vanavond op RTL4 om 20.30 uur vrijuit over haar zoon Joran van der Sloot en wat het met haar deed toen bekend werd dat haar zoon in Peru werd gearresteerd op verdenking van moord op Stephany Flores. Het is de eerste keer dat Anita van der Sloot spreekt op de televisie. Zij beantwoordt onder meer vragen over de jeugd van haar zoon Joran. Ook licht ze toe hoe ze de afgelopen vijf jaar heeft beleefd, van de verdwijning van Amerikaanse Natalee Holloway op Aruba tot en met de moord op Stephany Flores in Peru. Hoe ziet zij de toekomst voor Joran, en hoe ziet zij als moeder haar zoon nu? Zij doorbreekt daarmee een lange periode van stilzwijgen. Zij sprak voor het laatst over de zaak in 2008 bij Pauw en Witteman. Ze geeft onder andere antwoord op de vraag of ze haar zoon in Peru gaat bezoeken.
Het belangrijkste wat zij zegt is dat zij en haar man eigenlijk al lang de greep op Joran kwijt zijn en dat hij kort voor zijn vertrek naar Peru opgenomen zou worden in een kliniek om behandeld te worden. Ook praat zij over het liegen dat Joran doet.
Kort voor de dood van Stephany Flores en tijdens zijn vlucht had ze contact met Joran, waarbij hij zeer paranoïde klonk. Hij voelde zich „gevolgd en bekeken”. Volgens haar verkeerde Joran na de dood van zijn vader in zware psychische nood. Ze stelt dat hij zichzelf de schuld gaf van diens vroegtijdig overlijden. Joran vertrok naar Peru, om te ontkomen aan een opname op een gesloten afdeling van een psychiatrische kliniek. „Hij had met die opname ingestemd. Twee dagen voor hij zou vertrekken naar Nederland, verliet hij het huis.” Het enige wat ze vond, was een briefje dat ze zich geen zorgen moest maken.

The most chilling is a blood-soaked sheet that is seen lying discarded on the floor with a heavy patch of blood in one particular area. The new crime scene photos were obtained by CBS News.
In another photo, some flowers chillingly sit on top of a side table alongside a television with a side chair and a fan also in view. Disturbingly, some rubbish is scattered underneath the table which also has some police markers on it which could indicate blood, DNA or finger-prints.
The final image has a pink harrow pointing to a mattress stain with a lot of rubbish discarded on the floor which may have happened after a violent struggle.
A source told RadarOnline.com: “These are official police photographs from the crime scene, so, the arrow and the markers indicate areas that the investigators have ‘homed-in on’ for one reason or another.
“With the amount of blood on the sheet and the way the room is trashed, it certainly looks like some violent struggle has taken place inside that room.
“The evidence secured from this area will be crucial in any case being built against Joran van der Sloot.”
RadarOnline.com previously showed the images of Joran van der Sloot’s blood soaked shirt that he was wearing while he allegedly killed Ramirez in the hotel room – another photo shows the victim’s tennis shoe covered in blood.
The exclusive photographs obtained by RadarOnline.com are graphic proof of the violence of the crime and offer a look inside of van der Sloot’s room where the murder happened.
Perhaps the most powerful image is the shirt Joran was wearing while he allegedly committed the murder. These are official crime scene photos and the shirt is soaked with blood that officials say matches Stephany’s blood type. The back of the shirt and collar are drenched in blood, which is also speckled on the front.
Van der Sloot says he hit Stephany in the nose before he killed her.
In one photo taken at the crime scene, a police evidence marker can clearly be seen on a dresser that also holds two cups of coffee and tickets to the Atlantic City casino where van der Sloot and Stephany met.
Van der Sloot, long a suspect in the disappearance and presumed death of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway in Aruba in 2005, has confessed to Stephany’s murder and is being held in Peru.
He has since recanted his confession, claiming he was coerced by police in Peru.
The cups of coffee are significant because he was seen leaving the hotel room and returning with two cups of coffee. The question is when was Stephany killed and if Joran was trying to establish an alibi with the two coffee cups, or did he kill her after returning with the coffee cups.
Stephany's blue tennis shoes with white laces are covered with blood.
Other photos show a Nike shirt belonging to the victim and her blue jeans.
Joran Van Der Sloot Confesses To Murder
In another photo, Stephany’s objects are lined up, including a cell phone, two lighters and pen and a wallet.
RadarOnline.com also has photos of van der Sloot’s objects that were seized including a shirt, camera, cell phone, charger and watch.
